Jan. 20th, 2009 03:50 pmI got my insurance information from Allstate, and then stopped by EECU (my bank). I talked to someone there, and she actually got the overdraft fee waived for me. I deposited what I was going to use to pay it if it hadn't been waived and gave her a big thank you.
I stopped by the landlord office after that to ask a couple of questions about the apartment. I'll be able to view it on the 29th, and the girl said that they give me a complete checklist to go through to check the apartment for any damage or other issues. It's two pages long and really thorough. I just wanted to be sure I could document any damage or non-working things in the apartment so I wouldn't be held accountable for them. I also asked about having the apartment re-keyed, and she said that they switch the locks after tenants move out. I found out where the mailboxes and dumpster are, and had a look around the clubhouse.
I went to Walmart after that to have a walk around. They have a toaster oven for 20 dollars, but their cheapest microwave is 50. I looked at the home decor, which didn't have a lot of selection. I really loved the stuff I saw at Pier 1, and I love the wicker furniture, so I might just wait and save up for some stuff there.
I really want a Papasan chair. I fricking adore them and find them crazy comfortable.
I so cannot WAIT to start decorating. No one to bitch about my decor, no one to move it or break it, no one to whine when I want things put away nice and neat, no one to come in and trash the place after I spent hours cleaning, no one to think I'm the damn house slave and not want to lift a finger to help. Mine, alllll mine. Until I get a cat, and then it will be 90% cat's, and 10% mine lol
