senusenu4:40am. First time I have ever been alone at any workplace, ever. Almost everything was done by 3. It's been easy street, so to say. I am sure I've forgotten a little thing here or there but I am not going to worry.
I did have to call the store manager at 3am because somehow the pumps got tripped off and she told me where to find the breaker switch to fix it. Other than that it's been very uneventful. I have had maybe 10 customers all night and oddly, no cops have stopped by for gas.
Even if I am only getting starting wage of 8 an hour (and supposedly it will be more) then on a graveyard shift, I am getting 75 cents more an hour than last job. So, to them I say haaaahaaaaa.
I am so tired right now. I keep developing a headache around 2am every single night so far. By 8 I am a little out of it. It's been hard to sleep because of the heat, and I haven't slept well. I need a better sleep mask that keeps the light out better. The loft is great but I don't have any way to block the light.
I unlock the doors in 15 minutes, then I have 3 hours to go. It's been dragging every day at that point. The peaceful solitude is gone but it's not busy enough to get the time passing by quickly.
Well, it's a job and an easy one, and it pays more than the last one. Not something I'd want for a career I think but I can get on my feet again and get stuff sorted. Can't wait till friday to see what kind of check I get.
